Willie A. Barber, 90, of Cochranville, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Brandywine Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary Coldiron Barber who passed away in 2003. Born in Maybeury, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Arlie and Mamie Gladys Johnson Barber.
Willie was a retired millwright and worked at the former Lukens Steel Company. He then went to work at the former Charlie's Thriftway in Parkesburg. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and served with the West Fallowfield Township Police. He enjoyed fixing clocks and had a great sense of humor.
He is survived by a daughter, Diane, wife of Leonard Prange of Parkesburg, grandchildren, Christopher Prange, husband of Renee Jane, and Angela Gordon, great-grandchildren, Tessa Gordon, George "LG" Gordon IV, and Madison Prange, and a great-great-granddaughter, Areabella Rose Fahy; and two step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Ricky Barber in 2013.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
