William A. Temple

William A. Temple, 71, of Parkesburg, passed away at his home on Sunday, August 12, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Donna Gordon Temple with whom he shared 31 years of marriage. Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late William and Dorothy Durbrow Temple.

Bill was a county resident all his life and a graduate of Henderson high School in West Chester. After graduation he served honorably in the US Air Force from 1965 to 1967 during the Vietnam War.
He was employed by Wyeth Labs of West Chester for 35 years retiring in 2005.

He was a proud 28 year member of the Recovery Program where he also served in various volunteer positions with them.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two stepsons; Donald B. Hart, Jr. and wife Carolyn of Manheim, PA and Dean B. Hart of Gap, PA, four grandchildren; Devon Kierznowski of Christiana, Jordan Hart of Christiana, Kaitlyn Bain of Manheim and Jeffrey Pickell of Manheim, one great grandchildren on the way, two siblings; Cheryl Moody and husband Harry of Sadsburyville and David Temple and wife Joanne of Philadelphia and his beloved pet Shih Tzu "Chase". He was preceded in death by one sister Gail Tully.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 3:30 PM at the Parkesburg United Methodist Church, 411 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA with visitation from 2:00 - 3:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bill's memory to the Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380 ( www.ccspca.org/donate ).
