William Parke "Tug" Ogden, 75, of West Brandywine, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 at Brandywine Hospital. He was the widow of Linda Ogden, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage.
Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Catherine (Softchin) and Harold Ogden. He attended Octorara High School, and was self-employed as a plumber. Tug had recently been working part-time with Handicrafters.
He was a longtime member of Hibernia United Methodist Church. He was an active member of Sgt. Jones Bradbury Camp #149, Dept of Pa., Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. He was also a member of the Brandywine-Goddard Lodge No. 383 F.&A.M.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Kerri Ogden Dunlap, wife of Richard, of Coatesville; and his granddaughter, Sarah Dunlap. He was predeceased by his wife, son, Brent Ogden, and his sister, Beverly Ely. He was also predeceased by his dear friend of several years, Greta Wiggins.
A celebration of Tug's life will take place on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, Pa. with Pastor Mark Beideman officiating. The viewing will be from 9:30 until 11 AM. Interment will take place at Hibernia Methodist Cemetery following the service.
