William Leon Hart

William Leon Hart, 81, of Gap, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the Lancaster General Hospital.  He was the beloved husband of Helena J. (Lewis) Hart with whom he would have shared 60 years of marriage in April.

Born in Atglen, he was the son of the late Mary Elizabeth and H. Charles Hart.  He worked maintenance at Octorara High School, retiring in 2006.

He is survived by four children: David Hart, husband of Tina, of Coatesville, Virginia Hart of Narvon, Dennis Hart, husband of Julie, of Ephrata, and Terri Mattson, wife of Stephen, of Gap; seven grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and siblings, Shirley Hart, John Hart, Curtis Hart, Karen Parkers and Donna Lee Roach.  He was predeceased by his son William L. Hart, Jr.; and siblings, Charles E. Hart and Donald H. Hart.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 9th at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment at the Glen Run Cemetery of Atglen.  The viewing will be from 9:30 until 11 AM.
