William Lawrence Reardon, Jr.

William Lawrence Reardon, Jr., 60, of Coatesville died on Wednesday, November 18th, 2009 at the Coatesville VA Hospice Unit.

Born in Avondale, PA, he was the son of the late William L. Reardon, Sr. and Lucy Branca Reardon.  He attended Assumption BVM in West Grove and graduated Bishop Shanahan High School, West Chester in 1967.  He attended Lincoln University as a political science major. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

Bill was Roman Catholic by faith.  He loved to travel, horticulture, painting, and writing music and poetry.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Kathryn Reardon Wissler, twin siblings that died during infancy, and niece Cynthia Wissler Smith.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Anne Eilinsfeld of Nashville, TN.; cousin Joan Sellers Moyer, who was like a sister to him, three nephews, William J. Wissler, Mountville, Gilbert O.  Miller, Los Angeles, CA and Michael A. Miller, Baltimore, MD; five nieces Mary Kay Wissler Transue, Mountville, Lisa Wissler Kline, Lancaster, Theresa Wissler Kreider, Columbia, Patricia Miller, Nashville, TN and Theresa Miller Hagan, Atglen; many great nephews and nieces and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 11:00 am from Our Lady of Consolation Church, 603 W. Second Ave., Parkesburg, PA with visitation at the church from 10 am to 11:00am.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Coatesville VA Hospice Unit, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Rd, Coatesville, PA 19320.
