William Dale "Wil" Ankerstjerne

William Dale "Wil" Ankerstjerne, 49, of Valley Township, PA, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, in Paoli, PA.  He was the husband of Leigh Ann Farris Ankerstjerne for over 21 years.  Born in Media, PA, he was the son of the late William D. and Jacque Lyon Ankerstjerne.

Wil worked as a technology consultant.  He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol Search & Rescue. He was funny, kind, and generous. Wil would give anyone the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He loved animals, boating, and the outdoors.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Christine (David) Wilcox, and nephew, Doug,  of Virginia, a sister-in-law, Michelle (Jimmy) Bruni, and niece, Cailey of Benson, NC, an aunt, Jeanne Bergstig (Charles Butcher) of Parkesburg, PA, and an uncle, Bob Lyon.

A Celebration of Life memorial service is being planned for the future and details will be posted here upon completion.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brandywine Valley SPCA.
