Virginia Mae (Nee Joe) Faddis

Virginia Mae (nee Joe) Faddis, 90 of Branson, Mo, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. She was the beloved wife of Leon Harvey Faddis, with whom she shared 70 wonderful years of marriage, and they often celebrated their happiness with family and friends.

Born on April 17th, in Paradise, Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Ruth Mae (nee Keenan) and Ralph E. Joe, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Jacqueline, and her brother Frederick (married to Joann), and also two grandchildren, Lacey R. Taylor and Matthew E. Rayhill. She is survived by her brother Ralph Joe Jr. (m. to Anne).

She will be greatly missed by her four children, Leona M. Mendenhall (m. Bob), June F. Kimes (m. Roy), Jeannette Y. Taylor (m. Dick), and Dennis L. Faddis (m. Linda).

Her grandchildren, Gina R. Kenepp (m. Mike), Roy Kimes (m. Leah), Tifanee (Taylor) Obando (m. James), Ray Kimes (m. Zoi), Nancy Rayhill (widow of Matthew), Cameron Taylor, Melody H. Root (m. Reid), Christopher Mendenhall (m. Kayla), and Robyn V. Landean (m. Rich) also miss her dearly.

Her great-grandchildren are Ryan, Josh and Grace Kimes; Jake Kimes; Shawn and Cassidy Kenepp; Ana and Beth Root; Rylee, Ramsey, Raelle and Remington Landean; and Lucy and Maddie Mendenhall.

Ginny loved to volunteer in the Lord’s service. She was attending Branson Gospel Sunday. She raised four children, assisted her husband in running two businesses, was a Sunday school teacher, cooked men’s brotherhood dinners, worked with Navigators ministry, had a degree in Reflexology and was her husband’s best masseuse. Her love of children was her best quality; and, of course, she told everyone she had the best grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Yet she happily loved on, and “adopted” nearly 100 more, loving them as her own. She loved downhill skiing (in her younger years), shopping, and talking to everyone. She was honest--you clearly understood where you stood with her. Most recently she helped her husband create quilts featuring scripture verses, wrote song lyrics, and assisted in creating Gumi Camp in Arkansas.

All are welcome to attend a memorial service held on Sunday, October 8, at 10:00 AM at Hamner’s Theatre in Branson, MO. A private burial will be held on Monday, October 9.
