Vera Marple, 84, of Thorndale, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at the Neighborhood Hospice Center of West Chester.
She was the widow of the late John Marple, who passed away in 1978 after they had shared 30 years of marriage.
Born in Bel Air, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late James V. and Gussie (Joines) Yale.
Vera was a graduate of the Calvert School and the Coatesville Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed by the Child Development Center of Coatesville as a Teacher's Aide.
Vera was a member of the New London Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two children, Raymond Marple, husband of Lisa, Edward Marple, husband of Doris; three grandchildren, John Marple and Joel and Anne Vazquez; one great grandchild on the way; and four siblings, William Yale, husband of June, James Yale, husband of Phyllis, Franklin Yale, Mildred Sprankle, wife of Howard.
She was predeceased by one grandson, James Marple; two sisters and two brothers.
The Funeral Service will held on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 11 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Philadelphia Memorial Park of Frazer. Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
