Taylor Michael Hurley

July 23, 1998 — July 8, 2024

Taylor Michael Hurley, 36, of Holtwood, PA, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2024.  Taylor was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, on July 23, 1988, and was the beloved son of Laurie & Keith Kreider and Thomas H. Hurley.

In addition to his parents, Taylor is also survived by his siblings, Riley H. Hurley of Absecon, wife Rina Hurley and nephew Gerard, sister Kaitlynn N. Kreider of Lancaster, Aunt Randy Sizemore, Aunt Jessica Rummel & husband Sean, cousins Tyler and Ian, Aunt Stephanie and Matt Tolson, and cousins Ash and Regan, Aunt Angela and niece Parker and nephews Mikey, and Connor Johnson, Aunt Valerie Mizalpalko, and Grandmother, Alice Johnson.  Taylor is also survived by his girlfriend Jessica Brobst and children Jazlyn and Jagger of  Homeville, PA.  He also has loved ones in New Hampshire and South Carolina who loved him dearly, as well as many other extended family and friends.

Early in his life, it was clear that Taylor had a big heart. As a young boy, he cared for both people and animals, leading to some equestrian work with prized horses later in life.

In school, he loved socializing and making new friends. He had excellent grades in his favorite classes, even winning 1st place in the 3rd grade science fair for his life-sized-page book, “My Body.” Taylor later attended Octorara Area High School and graduated from Penn Manor High School in 2007.

Through playing drums, Taylor found his voice, connection, and individuality in music class.  He was a very talented percussionist, playing in multiple bands and venues.  It had always been his dream to have his own set and studio one day.  He was also an artist lyrically, writing and producing many songs reaching others with his music.  His passion and drive for the arts always held a close spot in his heart.

Taylor enjoyed sports, both watching and participating.

He followed many teams but loved the Phillies, Bulls, and Miami Dolphins. He participated in basketball, soccer, baseball, track and field, tennis, and cross country and even completed a 26.2-mile marathon in Alaska at the age of 17.

He also enjoyed skateboarding, snowboarding, jetski riding, and one-wheeling.  Taylor was a thrill seeker who was always ready to explore and experience something new.

Taylor's many talents led him to work and travel all over the U.S. and abroad, living in Las Vegas, Miami Beach, St. Maarten, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Missouri, and Pennsylvania. He took pride in his work and quickly made friends at any job. Taylor loved to be with people, whether working or playing. He could be counted on to help with any project.

Throughout the years, Taylor had a way of leaving an impact on others.  Friends could always reach out, knowing he would be there for them if needed.

Taylor's love shined brightest when he was with his family. He was full of wisdom and insight but also a great listener.  At the same time, he was admired as a little and big brother, always looking out for his baby sister, Kaitlynn, and supporting his older brother, Riley. He was proud to be the honorary “Best Man” at his brother’s wedding and a new Uncle to his nephew Gerard, who adored him.

Taylor was an example of a steadfast family member. He gave more of his time to learn about and enrich others than he received, never expecting anything in return but love and loyalty.

During the holidays and family gatherings, Taylor loved to relax.  His birthday celebrations were an event every year.  Taylor loved getting family and friends together to celebrate life, love, and each other.

Taylor will always be remembered as a loving and devoted son, brother, and uncle.  He loved his family and was loyal to those who knew him best; his “Taylor laugh, jokes, and hugs” will be deeply missed.

In Heaven, Taylor has joined his uncles, Michael, Michael, and Jake, and his grandparents, Sharon, Michael, Deanna, and Henry.
