Shirley L. Barnes

Shirley L. Barnes, 79, of Pomeroy Heights, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her family.  She was the wife of Charles E. "Pat" Barnes, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, Shirley was the daughter of the late Velma Merrill and Norwood Evans.  She was a 1959 graduate of Scott High School.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by her two children: Sue Stoltzfus, wife of Alvin, of Strasburg, and Charles Barnes, husband of Carol, of Honey Brook; three grandchildren: Teresa Phillips, Stacy Schwenk and Pamela Bensinger; eight grandchildren: Jeremiah, Ashley, Todd, Logan, Nathan, Madison, Brady and Cami; and one brother, Robert Evans, husband of Maryann, of West Chester.  She was preceded in death by one daughter Cyndi Taylor.

The service will be private and at the convenience of the family.
