Ruth Alderfer Metz Lapp

Ruth Alderfer Metz Lapp, 82, of Parkesburg, passed into eternity on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, after a lengthy illness.  She was the widow of the late Isaac L. Lapp.  Born in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of the late Abram and Eva Alderfer Metz. Ruth was a member of Sandy Hill Community Church and the Gideons International Ladies Auxilliary.

She is survived by three children, Judith L., wife of Gerald Flynn of Parkesburg, David G. husband of Audrey Wills Lapp of Coatesville, Jonathan D. husband of Carol Lapp of Frederick, MD., seven grandchildren, Matthew Lapp, Meghan Flynn, Rory Flynn, Adam Francis, Aron Francis, Rachel Faulkner and Kirby Francis, five great grandchildren,  three siblings; Ada Swartley of Souderton, Abram Metz of Arkansas, and Audrey Metz of Harrisonburg, VA, and stepmother Florence Reinford Metz of Souderton. She was preceded in death by one brother, Floyd Metz.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013, at 11am from the Sandy Hill Community Church, 420 S. Sandy Hill Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320 followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.  Visitation at the church from 8:30 to 10:30am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Sandy Hill Community Church at the above address.
