Ronnie Dean Whitehead

Ronnie Dean Whitehead, 76, of Pomeroy, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the Penn Medicine Hospice in West Chester.  He was the beloved husband of Mary Rose Kunkel Whitehead. They shared 48 years of marriage together. Born in Pocahontas, VA, he was the son of the late Frazer H. and Gladys I. Owens Whitehead.

Following his education, Ronnie proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1969. He was employed as a Paint Line Operator Inspector at National Rolling Mills/Worthington Steel in Malvern, PA for 40 years and later a Quality Control Inspector at the WG Corporation in Morgantown, PA for eight years. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church of Pomeroy, PA.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by his children, Robert A, Whitehead and wife Bonnie Lou of Coatesville, Stacie L. Whitehead and fiance Franz Dobler, Jr. of Pomeroy, three grandchildren, Kayla Seese, Cheyenne Whitehead and Madison Seese, siblings, Dale Whitehead of Airville, Brenda Stamper of Airville, Peggy Huff of Detroit, Mich. and Virginia Whitehead of Guthersville, PA. He was preceded in death by six siblings; Wally Whitehead,Gene Whitehead, Henry Whitehead, Oscar Whitehead, Shirley Robins and Dixie Blunt.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA at 10:30 AM with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 AM. Interment will be held at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 12:30 PM.
