Ronald Parker Hoskins, Sr., 70, of Parkesburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, under the care of Reading Hospital while surrounded by loved ones.  Born March 13th, 1950, and raised in Coatesville, Pa, he was the son of the late Robert "Bud" Hoskins and wife Mary Patricia Hoskins (Myers).

Ronnie was employed for many years with the Paralyzed Veterans of America serving as first President and lastly National Director for the Colonial Chapter.  In his youth, he attended C.A.S.H., served in Vietnam for the Army, and earned a degree in Mechanical Drafting & Design from Hygram G. Andrews.

He is survived by a large family.  His son Ronald Hoskins, Jr. with ex-wife Marqueite Shank has given him four grandsons and one step-granddaughter.  His surviving siblings and their spouses are Robert Hoskins and wife Iris, Richard Hoskins, Randee Hoskins, and wife Donna and Bonnie Hoskins.  He is proceeded by brother Rusti Hoskins and baby sister Patty Ann.

Ronnie had a life full of new experiences and travel.  He had many hobbies which include deep-sea fishing, hunting, and skeet shooting competitions.  He played both tennis and basketball.  Being paralyzed on December 24, 1976, did nothing to slow him down.  This adventurous spirit will be missed by many.

Ronnie is being cremated and his ashes will be spread on Hawk Mountain Sanctuary in Berks County, Pa as he wished.  In light of Covid-19, a memorial will be held at a later date with details and invitations to be announced.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg.  Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com
