Roberta B. Archey

Roberta B. Archey, 99, of Parkesburg, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021, under the care of granddaughter Christina and great-granddaughter India in Lancaster.

Born in Sadsbury Township, Roberta was the daughter of the late Flourence and Bert Archey, Sr.

Roberta was a longtime member of Newlinville Mennonite Church, where she regularly attended the prayer meetings, sewing circle, and Bible Studies.  She worked as a nursing assistant at the former Coatesville Hospital and at Brandywine Hospital.

She loved shopping, traveling, gardening, reading, food, and watching her favorite TV shows, which included Judge Judy, Dr. Phil, and Maury.  She spent a lot of time with her great-grandson, Keshon.

Roberta is survived by her son, Leslie Archey, daughter-in-law, Diane Archey, and grandchildren, Christina, who was her primary caretaker the last couple months of her life, Kim, Eric, Erica, Michael,Todd, Regina and Michelle; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sons, Charles, Albert, Dennis, and Michael, and her brother, Bert Jr.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, January 14th, 2021 at 11 AM at Parkesburg Mennonite Church, 44 East 2nd Avenue, Parkesburg, PA 19365 with a viewing from 10 until the time of service.  Interment will follow at Mt. Zion AME Cemetery in Atglen.
