Robert H. Douple

Robert H. Douple, 85, of Gap, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Janice L. Desautels Douple with whom he shared 36 years of marriage. Born in Manheim, he was the son of the late Clarence and Mildred Hostetter Douple. 

Bob was a County resident all his life and was employed for 45 years by Prevo Custom Cabinets in Ephrata, PA as a skilled cabinetmaker. 

He was an active member of the The Worship Center and later Gap Community Church and often volunteered with Church construction missions trips.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two children; Roxanne Selwyn of Florida and Greg Douple of Ephrata, PA, three stepchildren; Stephanie Hall of Gap, PA, Lisa Murray of Evansville, IN and Stephen Cohn of Amherst, NH, one grandchild, six step grandchildren and one sister Arlene Heisey of Lititz, PA. He was preceded in death by one brother Harold Douple.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA with visitation at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Longeneckers Cemetery, W. Orange St. & Longenecker Rd., Lititz, PA.
