Robert (Bob) L. Botkin, Sr.

Robert (Bob) L. Botkin, Sr., 67, of East Fallowfield, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Jean (Shero) Botkin, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late John and Violet (Perry) Botkin. He served honorably in the US Army.

Bob was formerly employed by the Extra Mile Auto Service in Coatesville.  He had a passion for classic cars and enjoyed restoring them. He loved going to car shows and his 57 Chevy won him many trophies. In addition to restoring cars, he loved being a pop-pop to his grandson Jayden.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by his beloved children: son Rob L. Botkin Jr., husband of Maia, of Honey Brook and daughter Sandy Falkner, wife of Steven, of East Fallowfield and one grandson, Jayden Falkner. He was preceded in death by seven siblings.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 18th, 2012 at 11 AM at the Hephzibah Baptist Church, 2237 Strasburg Road, Coatesville, PA 19320, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Family and friends are invited to the viewing, which will be held on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg and again on Friday morning from 10 until 11 AM at the Church.
