Richard W. Young

Richard W. Young, 71, of Parkesburg, died on Monday, September 20, 2010 at the Hickory House of Honey Brook. He was the husband of Lorraine Wilson Young with whom he shared 51 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Warren E. and Anne Sloyer Young. Richard was a 1957 graduate of Coatesville High School. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Marshall and the USS Brinkley Bass. Later, he was employed by the US Postal Service in West Chester. He is survived, in addition to his wife, by three sons; Robert and wife Shari, David and wife Jodi and Richard Glenn Young, 12 grand and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Karen Rodgers. Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 24, at 11am from the Parkesburg United Methodist Church, 411 W.
