Richard Lawrence Proudfoot

Richard Lawrence Proudfoot, 82, of Coatesville, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.  He was the widower of the late Mary Ann Proudfoot, who passed away in 2004 after they had shared 43 years of marriage together.

Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Arthur and Ester Grace Proudfoot.  He was a life long resident of Coatesville.  He joined the US Air Force and served our country proudly.  He was later employed by L & S Sweeteners of Leola.  He attended Hibernia United Methodist Church.  Richard enjoyed camping and loved being with his family.

Richard is survived by his children,  Mike Proudfoot and wife Tina of Coatesville and Shannon Dowlin and husband Frank of Coatesville, three Grandchildren, Chris Corle, Mary Ann Tully, and Steven Craig, his siblings, Elwood Proudfoot, Joan Hernadez, Bob Proudfoot, and Bill Proudfoot.  Richard was preceded in death by his son, Paul Proudfoot, and brother Leroy Proudfoot.

Due to the current restriction on public gatherings, services, and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
