Reuben "Skip" Wenger IV, 79, of Coatesville, PA, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023, in Paoli, PA. He was the husband of the late Judith Ann Turczyn Wenger who passed away in 2015. Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of the late Reuben III and Mabel I. Wallace Wenger. He was preceded in death by his son, Reuben “Chip” Wenger V, and his grandson, Christopher.
Skip worked as a self-contracting truck driver and hauled steel for Lukens. He was best known for his love of classic cars, drag racing, and Harleys. He was the first to race and win his class at Cecil County Dragway at the grand opening. Skip loved spending time with his family and friends. His nieces and their children will always remember Uncle Skip playing Santa on Christmas Eve.
He is survived by his grandson William Michael Tillman and his wife Melissa of Yucaipa, CA, his great-grandchildren, Larissa Hernandez, William Michael Tillman Jr.,and Carissa Tillman, his great- great grandchildren Xya and Xayda, his sister and brother-in-law Carl and Shirley Franciscus of Coatesville, his nieces Penny McConnell, Pamela Campbell, Patty Shesko, and Peggy Johnson and his good friend Bonnie Spitz. He is also survived by a stepdaughter Dawn Thompson.
