Raymond E. Lied

Raymond Edward Lied, 77, of Romansville, passed away on Saturday, November, 23, 2019 at his home. He was the  beloved husband of Margaret Dryburg Lied with whom he share 43 years of marriage. Born in Romansville, he was the son of the late Raymond Eli Lied and Hilda May Long Lied.

Ed was an area resident all his life and a 1961 graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville. He was self-employed with his son as a tool and die maker with Lied and Lied Machine and Tool of Modena.

He was an active member of the Coatesville Moose Lodge where he served as a Trustee and Chaplain. He also served on the Honor Guard with the Coatesville VFW.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by one son Raymond E. Lied, Jr. and wife Cynthia of Modena, two grandchildren; Raymond "Matt" Lied and Jessica Nicole Lied, four great grandchildren Taven A. Grow, Riley J. Lied, Callie R. Lied and Alayna G. Arbuckle and two siblings; Lois Shaffer of Morgantown, PA and James Lied of Monroe, LA.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November, 29, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at Romansville Friends Burial Grounds in Romansville. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing from 10:00 AM to the time of the service.
