R. Steven Shisler, Esq.

R. Steven Shisler, Esq., 70, of Gladwyne, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at his home. He was the husband of Victoria M. Endriss Shisler.   Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Margaret Gee Shisler of Thorndale, PA/Framingham, MA and the late John L. Shisler.

Steven grew up in Ithaca, New York. He was a graduate of Dickinson College (B.A.) and taught at the George School.  Later, he received a Doctorate of Law Degree from Villanova University School of Law.   Since 1985, he served as a trial attorney.   After prior associations with other firms, Steven opened up his own law firm in 1996 in Philadelphia.

He was a member of the Board of Directors for the non-profit Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association. (RSDSA)

Steven enjoyed playing and later coaching Lacrosse.  He loved spending summers vacationing in Stone Harbor, New Jersey.

He is survived, in addition to his mother and wife, by his daughter, Tara Margaret Shisler of Villanova, his brother Jonathan K. Shisler and wife Kathleen of Framingham, Massachusetts, his nephew Max Shisler of Colorado and his niece Juliette Shisler of New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his brother Kevin Shisler.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA  followed by interment at the Bradford Cemetery, Marshallton, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the visitation at the funeral home from 10:00 AM - 11:00AM.
