Pea rl Emma Hardy Hagan, 83, of Lancaster, formerly of Parkesburg, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at home, surrounded by her family. She was the widow of the late John P. Hagan Sr., who passed away in 1995 after they had shared 48 years of marriage.
Born in East Fallowfield on January 29, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Reba Marshall Hardy. She was a 1945 graduate of the Coatesville High School. She had been employed at the former Lukens Steel Co. and Burroughs of Downingtown. Pearl was a former member of Friendship Methodist Church.
A resident of Parkesburg for 41 years, she had most recently resided with her son Arthur and grandson Brian in Lancaster.
She is survived by Linda Hagan-Brandts, wife of John Brandts, of Ogunquit, Me., John Hagan II, husband of Kit, of Parkesburg and Arthur Hagan of Lancaster; six grandchildren; five great granddaughters; and a sister Mary Lerch of Gumtree. She was predeceased by her brothers, Walter, Howard and Oscar.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg. The interment will be held privately at the Fairview Cemetery of Coatesville. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing, which will be held at the Funeral Home from 10 until 11 AM.
