Pauline Nixon States

Pauline Nixon States, 96, of Parkesburg, passed away on Thursday, August 1st, 2019 under the care of Conestoga View Nursing & Rehabilitation in Lancaster.

She was the widow of John B. States, Sr., with whom she shared 54 years of marriage.

Born in Towerville, Pa., Pauline was the daughter of the late Margaret (Black) and Havard Nixon, Sr.  She was a graduate of Scott Senior High School and worked for the Health and Welfare Department of Pennsylvania as a manager for 46 years.

She is survived by her son, John B. States, Jr., husband of Cynthia, of Lancaster; grandchildren, Paula Misenko, wife of Greg, of Lititz, John M. States of West Sadsbury, and Nichole Albright of Lancaster; and great-grandson, Lukas Misenko of Lititz.

Pauline was predeceased by her infant son, Paul Carroll States.

Pauline will be buried next to her husband in Mt. Zion Cemetery.  At Pauline's request, the service will be private.
