Pauline M. Harris, 70, of Coatesville, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Cushman R. Harris, with whom she shared 34 years of marriage.
Born in Lancaster, she was raised by her grandparents, Edgar and Ethel Thompson of Atglen. The daughter of the late Ethel Thompson Grant and an area resident most of her life, she was a 1958 graduate of the Octorara High School. Pauline served as a C. N. A., monitor technician and ward clerk at the Coatesville and Brandywine Hospitals where she retired after 40 years of service. She later returned to service as a volunteer in the Medical Records Dept..
She is survived by her husband and children: William “Sandy” Thompson and his wife Lynette Thompson of California, Helene Harris and her fiancé Paul Miles of Coatesville, and Kashman Harris of Reading; eight grandchildren; William “BJ” Thompson of Georgia, Kameron Morris, Andy Morris of California, Martina Bailey of Coatesville, Calvin Thompson of California, Favian Harris, Malachi Harris, and Karina Harris all of Coatesville and one great-granddaughter, Lisa Thompson of Georgia; and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death, by her mother and brother, Michael Thompson Sr..
At Pauline's request, the service will be private.
