Patricia (Pat) Satterthwait Holland

Patricia (Pat) Satterthwait Holland, 79, of Parkesburg, PA, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA.  She was the beloved wife of David L. Holland, with whom she shared over 57 years of marriage.

Born on June 12, 1945, in Trenton, NJ, Pat was the devoted daughter to the late Miriam Barclay Satterthwait and the late Richard Harrison Satterthwait.  Pat spent her childhood on a farm in Cream Ridge, NJ.  She was a graduate of Allentown High School, Class of 1963.  Pat furthered her education at John Hopkins School of Nursing in Baltimore, MD, Class of 1966.

In her early career, Pat worked at St. Francis Hospital in Trenton, NJ,  Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, NC, and the Coatesville VA Hospital in Coatesville, PA.  In her later Career she spent a joyous 23 years as an RN in the Octorara School District.

Pat was a member of the Penningtonville Presbyterian Church in Atglen, PA, where she served as a Deacon,  Sunday School Teacher, and Church Treasurer.

In addition to her beloved husband, Pat is survived by her sons, Richard A. (wife, Dawn) Holland, and their children, Nathan and Kaitlyn of Coatesville, PA, and Charles D. Holland, and his children, Madelyn, Abigail, and David of Elverson, PA. She is also survived by her sister, Carol (her husband, Lindsey) of Fort Mill, SC, and her cousin, Donna (Her husband, Michael) Lennon of Myrtle Beach, SC.

Pat was known to her family as wife, mother, and Grammy.  She was the heart of the Holland family and loved them with a fierce heart.  Her most joyous moments were spent with her five grandchildren.  Her kindness and support to the community through her love for God was unfailing, and she was always happy to end a helping hand.  Pat's love touched the lives of many and she will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. from the Penningtonville Presbyterian Church, 406 Main Street, Atglen, PA, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the church at the above address.
