Neal J. Debonaventura

Neal J. DeBonaventura, 76, of Cochranville, PA, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Lancaster General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the devoted husband of Alice E. Baehr DeBonaventura, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, he was the son of the late John DeBonaventura and Amelia Shavack DeBonaventura.

Neal was a proud 1966 graduate of Archmere Academy in Claymont, Delaware. Over the years, he worked at several body shops, dedicating much of his professional life to his craft. He eventually retired from Joseph Olseski Auto Body in Cochranville, where he served as an auto body technician.

Above all, Neal was a family man. He cherished his loved ones deeply, and no one held his family in higher regard. He is survived by his wife, Alice; two daughters, Gina Lewis of Quarryville, PA, and Victoria Eldredge of Kirkwood, PA; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sons-in-law; and two siblings.

Neal had a passion for farm life, often saying there was no place he’d rather be. His love for his family, the farm, and his work will be remembered by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Christiana Fire Company Banquet Hall, 214 S. Bridge Street, Christiana, PA 17509, on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 1pm to 5pm.
