Nathan T. Bair

Nathan T. Bair, 77, of Glenmoore, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 26, 2009. He was the husband of Doris Wettig Bair with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Born in Pomeroy, he was the son of the late Albert K. and Elizabeth McWilliams Bair.

Nate was an area resident all his life and a 1949 graduate of Coatesville High School. He was employed by Lukens Steel Co. in the transportation department retiring in 1993 with 29 years of service. He was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church where he had served faithfully as an usher. He enjoyed horses and fox hunting and was a member of the Swisher and Gable Hunt Club.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by three daughters; Cindy, wife of Hix Gilbert of Glenmoore, Jody, wife of Rob Townsend of Coatesville, Kelly, wife of Ron Dankanich of Glenmoore, five grandchildren and three siblings; Albert Bair of Coatesville, Lottie Garnett of Parkesburg and Betty Lou Stanley of Kinzers. He was preceded in death by by a brother Lewis Bair and a sister Doris Toth.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 4:00pm from the Hopewell United Methodist Church, 852 Hopewell Road, Downingtown, Pa. with visitation from 2 to 4:00p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the "Neighborhood Health Agencies, Inc." (Hospice Program), 795 E. Marshall St., Suite 204, West Chester, PA 19380-4412.
