Nancy Mattson

Nancy Mattson, 77, of Middletown, formerly of Gap, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, under the care of Hospice and Community Care in Mt. Joy.

Born in Coatesville, Nancy was the daughter of the late Vivian (Yost) and Russell Farra.  An area resident her entire life, she was a graduate of Scott High School in Coatesville and worked at the VA Medical Center of Coatesville for 27 years as a cook.

Nancy loved playing crossword puzzles and Bingo.  She especially loved her Yorkiepoo "Cinnamon."

Nancy is survived by three children: Sam Mattson, Jr. of Caln Twp., Sandy Mattson of Peach Bottom, Pa., and Brenda Mattson of Coatesville; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Richard Farra, husband of Beverly, of Parkesburg, and Allen R. Farra, husband of Karen, of Coatesville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Mattson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 27 at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg with a visitation from 10 until the time of the service.
