Nancy L. Lester

Nancy Louise Lester, 74, of Parkesburg, passed away on Saturday, June 20th, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her family.  She was the widow of the late Fred L. Lester, who passed away in 2005 after they had shared 40 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, Nancy was the daughter of the late Chester M. and Zelma L. Stoner Ranck.

She was a 1964 graduate of Scott High School in Coatesville.

Nancy loved to keep up on current events and would pursue the Daily Local News at the Parkesburg Turkey Hill or Hershey's Farm Market.  She was an avid sports fan and followed the Philly and Penn State sports teams and NASCAR.

Nancy will be remembered for her outgoing personality and her love of family, friends, and neighbors.  Thanks to her kindness, counsel, humor, warm-hearted, quick-witted demeanor that drew many people to her, she will be missed by the entire community.

She is survived by her two children, Wendy M. Farra of Rising Sun, MD, and Bryan Lester, husband of Shannon, of Cochranville, four grandchildren, Shawn Gill, Douglas Lester, husband of Kristen, Adriana Lester, and Ayden Lester; two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Elena Lester; and her brother Gerald Ranck, husband of Linda, of Pomeroy.

Nancy was predeceased by her husband and two siblings, Chester "Chet" Ranck and Marsha Parker.

Family and friends are invited to attend the graveside service that will be held on Monday, June 29th at 11:00 AM at Upper Octorara Cemetery of Parkesburg, with pastor Sam Masteller officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA  19365, to help defray the cost of the funeral.
