Nancy L. Butcher

Nancy L. Butcher, 87, of Pomeroy, PA, passed away at her home on Monday, March 6, 2023.  She was the wife of the late Harry J. Waters who passed away in 1976, and the late Donald J. Butcher Sr. who passed away in 2012.  Born in Parkesburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harold E. and Ruth Nuss Walton.

Nancy was a homemaker and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, embroidery, gardening, and word fill-in books.  She was a member of the Parkesburg United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Annette (Chad) Tyson, of Coatesville, seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren and a niece, Cynthia Walton.  She was preceded in death by a son, Dale Walton, and siblings, Robert Walton, and Betty Jane Shockney, and a grandson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 11th at 10:30 a.m. from the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.  Interment to follow at Mt. Zion AME Cemetery, Atglen, PA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Parkesburg United Methodist Church, 411 Main St., Parkesburg, PA, 19365.
