Morgan C. "Jake" Reed

Morgan C. "Jake" Reed, 83, of Birdsboro, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at the Reading Hospital. Born in Altoona, PA, he was the son of the late Sherman E. Fredericks and Myra Meals Fredericks.

Jake was employed for 25 years by the Transwall Corporation of West Chester, PA as a steel fabricator retiring in 2005. He proudly served with the US Army National Guard.

Jake was a Pittsburgh Steelers Fan and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by four children; Kelly Dick of Erie, PA, Aimee Burk of Emlenton, PA, Ronald Reed of Coatesville and Robert Reed and wife Virginia of Coatesville, 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one sister Marion Louise Hilton of Honey Brook. He was preceded in death by one sister Rose Baxter.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 PM on Friday, February, 25, 2022 from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, PA 19365. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation period from 2 PM until the start of the service.
