Michael Lynn Shannon

Michael Lynn Shannon, 55, of Exton, Pa., was called to his Savior in Heaven unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 25, 2011.



Born on September 8, 1955 in West Chester, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Shannon, Sr. and Mildred Paxton Shannon.



He was a 1973 graduate of the Downingtown High School.  He was a former Flight Instructor and Part Owner of the Shannon Airport.



Michael is survived by his son, Michael Sean Shannon of Parkesburg, several cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his sister, Nancy Lee Shannon Hess and brother, Robert L. Shannon, Jr.



Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Thorndale United Methodist Church, 3503 Lincoln Highway, Thorndale, PA with visitation from 10 until 11 AM.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.



In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael's memory to the Thorndale United Methodist Church at the above address.
