Mary V. Young

Mary V. Young, 97, of Parkesburg, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Heatherwood Retirement Community of Honey Brook.  She was the widow of the late Leon E. Young, who passed away in 1982.

Born in Thorndale, Mary was the daughter of the late Myrtle (Davis) and Charles Pennell.

She was a graduate of Scott High and worked as an oil dispatcher for Thomas C. Medford.

Mary was a member of Thorndale United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Priscilla A. Marshman, wife of William, of Parkesburg; two grandchildren, Cheryl Baranzano of Sadsburyville and Daniel A. Marshman of Gordonville; three great grandchildren and nine great, great grandchildren; and one sister, Lillian Guie of Thorndale.

Mary was predeceased by five siblings, Evelyn Lawn, Olive Smith, Malcolm Pennell, Wilmer Pennell and Calvin Pennell.

The Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, April 28th at 11 AM at Bradford Cemetery, North Wawaset Rd, West Chester (Marshallton) PA.
