Mary Proffit

Mary Proffit, 91, of Coatesville, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2011 at the Brandywine Hospital.

Born in Fluvanna County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Shandy Proffit and Minnie Bell Morris. She was retired from Marionette Mills of Coatesville, where she had worked for 26 years.

She is survived by her three children: Jean Raum of Wawa, Joyce Williams of Texas and Curtis Clements of Virginia; 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Ruby Kita and she is the last of her nine siblings.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 12 at 2 PM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Fairview Cemetery of Coatesville. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing, which will be held funeral home from 1 until 2 PM.
