Mary Ella Beale Wallace

Mary Ella Beale Wallace, 96, of Coatesville, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at the Paoli Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of George Donald Wallace, a WWII Veteran, who died in 2022. They shared 72 years of marriage together. Born in the Coatesville Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Fred M. Beale and Marion Gillespie Beale.

Mary Ella was a lifelong area resident and a 1946 graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville. She was employed for 30 years by the Lukens Steel Company. She has lived the last seven years at Harrison House in Coatesville.

Mary Ella and her husband enjoyed participating in local equestrian events throughout Chester County, PA.  She was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in New Holland, PA.

She is survived by several cousins and their families; Patty DiObilda of Elverson, David Copeland of Florida, Raulston Gibson of Parkesburg, Kenny and Richie Moore of Coatesville, and Thomas and Ronald Moore of North Carolina, and several good friends; Trish Egan, Jeff and Sarah Shirk and Carmin. She was recently preceded in death by one aunt, Dorothy McGinley.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA. Visitation and viewing at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to the time of the service. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Memorial Gardens in Ephrata, PA.
