Mary Elizabeth Sweigart

Mary Elizabeth Sweigart, 87, of Tel Hai Retirement Community, formerly of Coatesville, passed away on June 3rd, 2013 at the Brandywine Hospital.  She was the widow of Joseph Sweigart Jr., who passed away in 1997 after they had shared 65 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, Mary was the daughter of the late William and Lillian (Whiteman) Swisher.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Coatesville.  Mary was also a member of the Eastern Star and the Westwood Fire Co.

Mary is survived by her children: Dottie Simmons, wife of Barry, of Coatesville, Nancy Tyson, wife of Fred, of Coatesville, Larry Sweigart, husband of Susie, of Coatesville and Ronnie Sweigart, husband of Debbie, of Coatesville; seven grandchildren and eight great, grandchildren who affectionately called her "Mom Mom Joe".

She was predeceased by one grandson, Joseph K. Sweigart; four brothers and one sister.

The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, June 6th, 2013 at 11 AM at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 107 S 17th Ave., Coatesville, PA 19320 followed by interment in the St. Johns Cemetery of Compass.  The viewing will take place at the Church from 10 until 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd at the above address.
