Mark Herbert Wilson, 61, of Coatesville, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Brandywine Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Linda A. Litchert Wilson, with whom he shared 24 years of marriage.
Born in Canton, Ohio, he was the son of Margaret Wilson of Ohio and the late Herbert Wilson. An area resident most of his life, Mark was the owner and operator of the "Mark Wilson Auto Service" of Romansville for the past 26 years.
Mark loved the Lord and his Country and those who knew him will remember his generous spirit and strong faith.
He is survived, in addition to his wife and mother, by his son, CW3 Matthew G. Wilson, husband of Carolyn "Carrie", of Lancaster; and grandchildren Grant and Claire; and siblings, Robert Wilson of Florida, Leslie Lentz of Oxford, Kevin Wilson of Kinzers and Christine Costanzo of Collegeville.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 21 at 11 AM at the Pequea Presbyterian Church, 273 Cambridge Road, Gap, PA 17527 followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. The viewing will be held on both Thursday evening from 6 until 8 PM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg and again on Friday morning at the Church from 10 AM until the time of the service.
Prior to Mark’s death, he underwent cyberknife surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from his brain. He was so greatly encouraged after the procedure which totally eradicated the tumor. This procedure gave him renewed hope and courage to power through to continue his battle against cancer.
