Marjorie R. Raffier

Marjorie R. Raffier, 74, of Sadsburyville, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at the Brandywine Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of Thomas D. Raffier, who whom she shared 54 years of marriage.

Born in Marshalton, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Ruth Davis Mercer.  A 1952 graduate of the Coatesville High School, she was an area resident for all of her life, except for 1954 when her husband was assigned to the military base in Alaska.  Marjorie enjoyed their summer home in Sullivan County.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by her daughter, who was born in Alaska, Deborah Gray, wife of Sidney, of Cabot, Arkansas; two grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one sister, Fonda Wolfe of East Fallowfield.  She was preceded in death by her brother Richard Mercer.

Funeral service will be at the convenience of the family.  Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1615 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382.
