Margaret "Peg" Krauss Givler, 80, formerly of Coatesville, passed away on Wednesday, April 15 at her home in Tel Hai Retirement Community. She was the wife of Paul W. Givler, Jr. with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.
Born in Coatesville, Peg was the daughter of the late Myrtle (Miller) and William H. Krauss. A resident of Coatesville for 77 years, Peg was a 1953 graduate of Coatesville Area Schools and a 1956 graduate of the Lancaster General Hospital's School of Nursing.
She began her career at the Coatesville Hospital, also working as Director of Nursing at the Harrison House of Coatesville, Director of Nursing at Freedom Village and was a receptionist and nurse for several doctors.
Peg was a lifelong member of the Olivet United Methodist Church of Coatesville, where she served as Choir Director and Piano Accompanist.
Peg is survived, in addition to her husband, by her three sons: Gregory P. Givler, husband of Leah, Randall W. Givler and Kevin M. Givler, husband of Terry; grandchildren, Amanda Kaiser, wife of Tim, Ashley Givler, Kelsey Givler, Rachel Givler, and Matthew Givler.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing on Tuesday, April 21st, 2015 from 9:30 to 11 AM at Olivet United Methodist Church, 310 E Chestnut St, Coatesville, PA 19320 followed by a celebration of Peg's life at 11 AM. Interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery of Coatesville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Peg's memory can be made to the Capital Campaign of Olivet United Methodist Church at the above address.
