Malcolm P. Irwin, Sr., 65, of Lincoln University passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 25, 2023. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Malcolm Fields Irwin and Joan Marie Margaret (Lutz) Irwin. He was the beloved husband of Brenda L. Irwin, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage.
Malcolm was a 1976 graduate of Downingtown High School and went on to serve as a machinist for Techni Service located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. He also worked as the owner/operator of Irwin Machine, which started in 1991 and was incorporated in 2014. He was a dedicated worker and always provided for his family. He enjoyed vacations at Myrtle Beach, spending time with his family, and riding Can-AM side-by-sides with his son.
He is survived in addition to his wife by four children: Christine Riedel and husband Michael of Lancaster, M. Paul Irwin, Jr. and wife Renee of Oxford, Heather Leonard and husband Scott, and Sherri Silva-Garcia and husband Rigoberto. Additionally, he is survived by 8 grandchildren: Ashley, Rebekah, Junior, Brennyn, Kimberly “Jimmy”, Zachary, Jameson, and Malcolm Derek, and 1 great-granddaughter: Grayce Elise.
He is preceded in death by his, father, Malcolm Fields Irwin, his mother, Joan Lutz Irwin, and sister, Joan Kolimaga.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 30, 2023, from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, Pennsylvania, 19365. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation period taking place from 12:00 PM until the start of the service.
