Maggie L. Stone

Maggie L. Stone, 64, of Paradise, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 7, 2009 at the Lancaster General Hospital after a long, hard fight with cancer.

She was the loving wife of William C. Stone, Sr., with whom she shared 41 years of marriage. Born in Union, West Virginia, Maggie was the daughter of the late Harry and Pauline Elliant Perine. She was a beloved housewife and mother for forty-one years. She baby-sat nieces and nephews, grandchildren and even her friend's children.

Maggie loved fishing, camping and watching Rachel Ray, Paula Deen and her favorite game shows. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by four children: Margaret Geiter, wife of Scott, of Paradise, William Stone Jr. of Lancaster, James Stone of Lancaster and Pauline Stone of Lancaster; 17 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; her brothers, Emery Perine, husband of Kathy,of Tallespoosa, Ga., Alfred Perine, husband of Lucille, of Coatesville, Frankie Perine, husband of Lynn, of Alliance, Oh., and Ronald Perine, husband of Marie, of Sistersville, W.V.; and sisters, Mable Smith, wife of Ruben, of Middlebourn, W.V., Nancy Shultz, wife of John, of Flushing, Oh. and Lillian Burch of Middlebourn, W.V.; several nieces and nephews whom she loved, her beloved friends and Mom-mom's big helper, Leilani Roman and two grandsons-in-law and two granddaughters-in-law.

Waiting at the gate of heaven with open arms are her beloved son-in-law, Tim Quenzer, Sr. and sisters and brothers-in-law, Florence Shear, Robert Roots, Butch Cease, Betty Phillips, niece Debbie Perine and many more family to say, "Welcome home Maggie!"

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Hephzibah Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing, which will be held at the Funeral Home from 10 until 11 AM.
