Madeline E. "Peg" Root

Madeline E. "Peg" Root, 87, of Honey Brook, died on Monday, October 13, 2014 at her home.
She was the widow of the late Norman F. Root who died in 1991. Born in Chester County, she was the daughter of the late Grant and Bessie Wonderly Hilton.

She is survived by three children; Barry N. Root and wife Sandy of Gap, Gloria J., wife of Dale Gay of Morgantown and Terri, wife of William Stiteler of Honey Brook with whom she lived with, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and one sister Laura V. Johnson of Saxton, PA.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 2:00pm from the First Baptist Church of Pequea, 6062 Old Philadelphia Pike, Gap, PA 17527. Visitation from 1 to 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the PA Association for the Blind, 71 S 1st Ave., Coatesville, PA 19320.
