Mabel S. Jones

Mabel S. Jones, 79, of New Holland, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2013 at the Lancaster General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Denver "Bill"  Jones with whom she shared 59 years of marriage. Born in Martins Corner, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Ida Rissle Givler.

Mabel was an area resident all her life and a 1952 graduate of the Scott High School in Coatesville. She was employed by Superfresh of Downingtown and also formerly worked at Jamesway in Thorndale. She was a faithful member of the Hibernia United Methodist Church.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by two children; Michael S. Jones and wife Debra of Huddleston, VA and Regina, wife of Kevin Precise of New Holland, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two siblings; John Givler and Kathryn Baldwin.

Family and friends are invited to attend Memorial services on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 11am from the Hibernia United Methodist Church, 220 Hibernia Rd.,  Coatesville, PA 19320. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
