Lynn Edward Ondrizek

Lynn Edward Ondrizek, 82, of Parkesburg, PA, and formerly of Gettysburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, in Paoli, PA.  He was the husband of the late Charlotte Daniels Ondrizek who passed away in 2019.  Born in Zelienople, PA, he was the son of the late Edward H. and Harriett Marsh Ondrizek of Zelienople, PA

Lynn was a graduate of Zelienople High School, Penn State University (where he met his wife) and North Carolina State University.  He was a retired Occupational Psychologist working for both the states of North Carolina and Pennsylvania.  He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Gettysburg and was former Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop #79 of Gettysburg.

Lynn was a great baseball player and loved watching his home team the Pittsburgh Pirates play.  He was passionate in educating anyone that was willing to learn, especially US history, particularly the Civil War and World Wars.

In the last several years, he spent time traveling with his youngest granddaughter to horse shows all over the United States and will be always remembered by the community as Pappy O.

He is survived by his children, Jay Ondrizek and his wife Corrie Ondrizek of Gettysburg, PA; Chris Ondrizek of Parkesburg, PA; Terri Lynn Stype and her husband Kurt Stype of Parkesburg,PA, and a niece, Marliese Bartz and her husband Tom Bartz, along with their daughter Lila, of San Diego, CA.  He is also survived by grandchildren; Emily Ondrizek Riser and her husband Logan and daughter Liliana of New Oxford, PA; Derek Ondrizek, of Pittsburgh, PA; and Mackenzie Stype of Parkesburg, PA.
