Lucy E. Farris Berkeihiser

Lucy E. Farris Berkeihiser, 82, of Gap, died at her home on Sunday, December 15, 2013. She was the widow of H. Kenneth Berkeihiser who passed away in February. They shared 58 years of marriage. Born in Ridley Park, she was the daughter of the late Henry E. and Rosalie McCustion Farris.

Lucy was an area resident most of her life and 1948 graduate of the H. Horace Scott H.S. in Coatesville. She was employed by Cooper Bio Medical in Great Valley, PA. She was a member of the Brandywine Hospital Senior Circle and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, N.J. . She loved bowling, reading, gardening and  especially time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After retiring, Lucy and Ken traveled all across the United States. She also enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake Bay with friends and family.

She is survived by three children; Pamela Jane, wife of Art Brown of Coatesville, Kenneth J. Berkeihiser and wife Kim of Douglassville, PA and Kim A. Berkeihiser and wife Stacie of Wyomissing, PA, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and six siblings; Warren Farris, James Farris, Wanda Villabrandt, Bobbie Jo Silva, Janet Feaster and Gerry Priddy. She was preceded in death by five siblings; Eden Barbieri, Mary McShane, Gene Groy , Ruth Duryzinski and Sandy Farris.
