Lucy Ann Andrews

Lucy Ann Andrews, 90, of Coatesville, passed away on Friday, August 13th under the care of Paoli Hospital.  She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Fred Andrews.

Born in Charleston, West Virginia, Lucy was the daughter of the late Daisy (Hardwich) and Homer Welch.  Lucy was a graduate of Downingtown High School and went on to spend most of her adult life in Downingtown before moving to Coatesville in 2006.

Lucy loved watching the Phillies and drinking coffee and Coke.  Lucy enjoyed cooking and was known for her spaghetti and cucumber salad.

She was the consummate mother figure, and she took great pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Lucy would brighten any room she was in and even up until her passing, nurses and doctors remarked that she was such a sweet lady.  She will be missed by everyone she knew and loved.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children: Ronald Andrews and Lisa M. Hasson; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her daughter, Bonnie Lee, who passed away in 2017.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA with visitation from 1:00 PM to the time of the service.
