Lois V. Dickinson

Lois Dickinson, 66 years young of Trainer PA passed away on June 25, 2021. Born on March 21, 1955, in a Coatesville Pa, she is the daughter of the late Catherine Denson, John Dickinson and Elaine Dickinson.

Lois grew up in the Parkesburg Area, she was a quiet, happy, observant child who enjoyed spending time with her brothers and family. As a young child she always showed her love through taking care of her siblings and her family. Her presence was meek and mild, but you felt the mere essence of the phenomenal women she was yet to become. She graduated high school in the year of 1973 from Octorara High School. She then pursued a BA degree with Cheyney University.

Shortly, after college she migrated to the California area where she later found employment with the VA hospital. She worked at the VA hospital as a supervisor, and everyone who worked with her and for her knew that she did not tolerate tardiness or excuses. While in California she met Carmen Woods, who is the father of her two children. Once she gave birth to her children, her whole world changed, and they became her entire being! She loved on them more then she loved herself! She made it her mission to make her children a priority at all costs.

Later, she found her way back east and found employment with a French pharmaceutical company, Sanofi located in the Malvern area. She retired after working for them for over 15 years. She was a hard worker regardless of who was watching, and she always choose to do what is right. Lois was a woman who did not know what the word “relax” meant, which is why her retirement was short lived.

Her last place of employment was with CPI, Crane Payment Innovations located in Exton Pa. She worked in the customer service department for as a customer service rep for 7 years. She enjoyed working because it kept her busy and young! She was not a woman who waited for opportunity, she ceased it and believed in the message work hard, play harder! She lived her life on her terms and valued the true essence of love.

Lois, LOVED sports! Especially, her Philadelphia Eagles and Sixers! She would ensure she watched every game even if she were out enjoying others company, she would make it known that the game was on, and she wanted to watch! She had Eagles gear from head to toe, and she was a die-hard fan. Win, lose or draw she was supporting them like no other! She talked trash to protect her Eagles and her Sixers but best believe she was ready to receive anything you threw at their way; her rebuttal was on point! She loved to entertain and enjoyed the company of others, she found joy in other people’s happiness!

Her spirit was so pure, she was not boastful, although she spoke loudly! When she spoke, you listened because you knew her heart was pure! She welcomed everyone into her home, and she showed her love through her cooking. She was known to be the neighborhood mom, the one you could tell your secrets to. She guided you while also protecting you! She embodied the true essence of unconditional love! She was strong, vibrant, and outgoing! She laughed hard, she cried hard but most of all she loved!

Lois is survived by her brother Mark Dickinson and Sister Kim Harris and brother in-law Jocko Harris. Her children, Jaunesha &( Bruce Bembery) and Robert Woods. Her grandchildren, Brandon Ayers Jr(11years old), Robert Woods Jr.( 8 years old), Shajuan Stewart ( 7 years old), and Aniya Bembery ( 5 years old). Her nephews, Mitchell Wilkerson, Travis Wilkerson & Jonathan Harris. Nieces, Paige Novak, Faith Dickinson, Shalea Washington & Kaylee. She is also survived by many other great nieces, great nephews, cousins, Uncles, Aunts, and friends. She was preceded in Death by her brothers, John Dickinson & Mitchell Dickinson.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA.  Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the funeral home from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
