Lois Bell

Lois Bell, 82, entered her Heavenly home on June 16, 2015, surrounded by the love of her family.
Lois was the daughter of Elsie (Conover) and Earl Richardson and sister of Robert Richardson.  She grew up residing in the West End Fire House of Coatesville, where her father was Fire Chief.  She graduated from Scott High School in 1950.  She earned her Registered Nurse degree at Chester County Hospital School of Nursing and cared for patients at the Coatesville Veterans Hospital.
Lois married her high school sweetheart, George E. Bell, in 1955, and they raised their daughters Judy (Steve) Houdeshel, Nancy (Jim) Sioma, and Julie (Tim) Smith in Downingtown where they enjoyed 55 years of marriage until his passing in 2010.  They were active in Downingtown First Baptist Church where Lois served as a Sunday School Teacher, and Windsor Baptist Church.  She prayed for family and friends and shared her faith freely.  Lois was a good neighbor and always willing to help those in need.  She also volunteered in her community with Chester County Meals on Wheels and the Girl Scouts.
Lois was 'Nana' to Kate, John, Kelsey, Dave, Chris, Aaron, Heather, Rachel, Josh, Pat, and Leah.  She was 'Great-Nana' to Isabella, Phoenix, and Lily.  She spent many hours caring for and nurturing her grandchildren with joy.
Her interests included family, friends, knitting, puzzles, and game shows.  She made many new friends in her later years while residing at Bellingham and Willow Valley Retirement Communities.  Her kind and caring ways will be missed as well as her final words to all she met, 'May God Bless you in all of your endeavors'.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at 11:00AM at New Providence Baptist Church,  2411 Beaver Valley Pike, New Providence, PA.  Visitation at the church from 10:00AM to 11:00AM.  Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lois's name may be made to Chester County Meals  on Wheels - Downingtown Chapter,  404 Willowbrook Lane, West Chester, PA 19382.
