Lloyd E. Umble

Lloyd E. Umble, 85, of Gap, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Harrison Senior Living Center in Christiana, PA.  He was the husband of the late Fay L. Warfel Umble who died in 1988. Born in Atglen, he was the son of the late Christian and Anna Smoker Umble.

Lloyd was an area resident all his life. He was the owner/operator of the Gap Tire Center retiring in 1986.

He enjoyed traveling around the country in his RV and he was a avid NASCAR fan.

Lloyd is survived by four children; Peggy Horning and husband Rich of Gap, Heather R. Larrabee of Thorndale, David White and wife Rose of Maytown, PA and Kathy White of Marietta, PA,  nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son Chris Bleacher, two infant sons; Joseph and James Umble and one grandson Norman Horning.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 2:00pm from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Maple Grove Mennonite Cemtery, Atglen, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the funeral home from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Lancaster County SPCA, 848 S Prince St. Lancaster, PA 17603.
