Lin da L. McQueen, 62, of Gap, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on April 9, 2010 after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Edward S. McQueen, Sr., with whom she shared 44 years of marriage.
Born in Coatesville on April 13, 1948, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Brown. She was a 1966 graduate of Scott High School of Coatesville. In addition to being a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, she and her husband have owned and operated the White Horse Inn for 40 years.
Linda was a member of the Pequea Baptist Church. She enjoyed trips to Northeast, Md., antiquing and was an avid reader.
Linda was also a member of the Order of The Eastern Star, Chris-Penn Chapter #455 of Christiana, PA.
Linda is survived, in addition to her husband, by her son Edward S. McQueen, Jr., husband of Stacey, and her daughter, Danielle McQueen; five grandchildren, who were the loves of her life, Edward III, Andrew, Autumn, Adam and Brendan, all of White Horse; and a sister, Shirley LaMaster of Ohio.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Pequea Presbyterian Church, 273 Cambridge Rd, Gap, Pa., followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing, which will be held at the Church on both Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning from 10 until 11 AM.
